thedrumsforever The Drums
Easter...pointless? And to add to the misery, I have church bells ringing loudly outside my window.
I know Jonny and Jacob grew up in really religious environments, do you know if they still are? I kind off assumed whoever tweeted this isn't. :P Just out of general interest.
I’d say that was Jonny
Maybe now he’s older he knows his own mind and its not for him and I quote: "You had to put up a front and pretend you believed it all to survive, but it was never easy."
that's good i wouldn't want adam to be replaced. Are they still friends? and why is connor now playing the guitar?
don’t think they’ve seen or heard from Adam since he left…they felt disappointed by his decision as it was also a bit short notice I guess. sad when Jon and Adam had been friends for so long but y’know. They want the live show to be just that without relying on backing tapes so there’s now more live musicians.
Maybe things were happening too fast for the band and Adam couldn’t handle all the commitments, maybe he felt overwhelmed. He did the right thing if your heart isn’t in it you shouldn’t continue. The Drums were a unit of four but Adam had little creative input. There’s more live members now but The Drums as a band will always be Jonny, Jacob, Connor- Adam won’t be “replaced” and I think that’s the main thing
The someone else anon pictured Connor with was themselves. Sheesh. Peggy is lovely and her band makes amazing music. Some people think band members only exist for their pleasure. And as you say; who gives a toss who Connor dates? It's his life.
Why is Connor playing guitar now or is that just for one song?
They’ve employed more musicians for the live show so they don’t need to rely on backing tapes, Myles from Violens has taken Jacob’s position, he’s on keyboards now. Chris Stein from NYC band Jump into the Gospel plays drums
